Reference is made to a number of defamatory statements made by the Vice-President at the Belgian
Federation, Mr Vincent Coppenolle.
On the social network Facebook, Mr Coppenolle wrote the following as his status line on Friday 20th
August 2010:
The World Cup 2011 in Sicily and 2012 in Greece without even calling for candidates.

The following is the criteria which each nation has to follow for the Champions League and Europa
League competitions. As you know, from one country to another, the number of teams vary according to
a schedule based on the performances of the last five seasons. So we ask you to follow these in order
to submit teams for the Champions League and Europa League.

There are a number of things that one can gain from diversity. As human beings we may be averse of
some drastic changes but at the same time we are also looking forward to some break from the

Meanwhile, we also agreed to issue a call for applications for the hosting of the next World Cups.
I am pleased to inform you that the conclusion of the applications submitted to this Board for a decision
are as follows:
1. World Cup 2011 will be hosted in Palermo (Sicily – Italy)

Why the elections are postponed?

Elections were postponed. We promised that we need to give a clear vision to this Federation. The mission to reach our goals is not easy and during our pace of work we found a number of difficulties and a number of mishaps which must be clearly addressed.
